NC songwriters Laurelyn Dossett and Murphy Campbell will be playing songs from the groundbreaking Hazel and Alice recordings (Hazel Dickens & Alice Gerrard), as well as songs by other pioneering women songwriters in traditional music, including Almeda RIddle and Ola Belle Reed.

This special presentation is part of the Backstories series, made possible by a Central Appalachians Living Traditions grant from Mid Atlantic Arts.
