The Vigours are old-time string band musicians from Albemarle County, Va., home of rolling hills, mountain streams, and an active and dedicated community of old-time musicians. The duo plays their own versions of old-time music and are popular at social events throughout the region.

There is so much to do at Peaks of Otter. Visitors can camp or stay the night at the historic lodge, dine in the restaurant, tour Johnson Farm and Polly Wood’s Ordinary, take a stroll around Abbott Lake, hike a trail, or take in a concert. Milepost Music concerts are held the second Sunday of the month, June through September, near the banks of Abbott Lake. In case of rain, concerts may be moved to the event room at the restaurant.

The Blue Ridge Music Center’s Milepost Music brings free concerts by local and regional artists to locations along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. No tickets are needed. Bring a chair and a picnic lunch. No alcohol permitted on site.
